Coachella 2022 season has officially come to an end. If you couldn’t attend the iconic music festival, you’ve lived it vicariously through social media. The music and food are great, but the outfits… that’s where the fun comes in.
This year, social media platforms were filling up with fun, crazy, colorful, and comfortable festival attire. Let’s take a look at what fans think were the best styles from this year’s Coachella festival:
Best ‘Coachella Style’: The Coachella queen herself, Vanessa Hudgens.
Vanessa Hudgens’ moment to shine continues to be Coachella. Hudgens first appeared in a monokini and a glittering crochet cover-up in neutral colors. She then wore a magenta ensemble that included a crochet bikini top, flowing leggings, a flowy robe, and a bucket hat. Hudgens’ most eye-catching ensemble was a transparent chartreuse dress over a striped bikini, topped off with a straw-woven beach hat. Her outfits were light, airy, and colorful. She wore several of this year’s Coachella fashion trends, including crochet cover-ups, bikinis, see-through skirts, flowing trousers, and bucket hats.
Best Y2K Style: Chloe Cherry
She resembled a snarky, irresponsible toddler, yet she owned the style, and her confidence sold her clothing regardless. Since day one, her favorite outfit has been a denim miniskirt with fun patches and the bedazzled word “KITTY” on the rear pockets.
Best Casual Outfit: Kendall Jenner
Let’s be honest, Kendall Jenner can wear a garbage bag and make it look good. She donned a cropped white tank top, wide-leg white pants with many pockets, and sandals on Day Two. Her attire was clean, simple, and comfy. Given that Coachella attendees stand, stroll, and dance for hours in the searing heat, the urge to bring back a practical-dress Coachella is understandable, especially in light of quarantine’s comfy-cute trend.
Best Sequin Outfit: Conan Gray & Harry Styles
Conan Gray wowed in a bright pink couture Valentino costume at his first Coachella. His outfit consisted of long gloves, wide-leg slacks, platform boots, and a stunning, flowing, transparent, veil-esque full-body cloak. This weekend, monochrome was a big trend, and Gray seized it as his own.
Styles debuted his weekend one look in a rainbow-striped jumpsuit composed entirely of eye-catching paillettes. It had a short sleeved silhouette and a v Neck that went far down his body. Though he entered the stage wearing a black, feathered coat, he swiftly removed it to reveal the multicolored one-piece in all its brilliance.
Personally, here are the celebrities that I thought were best dressed:
Emma Chamberlain
Emma, a gold goddess in her vivid jumpsuit, which she pairs with a belt purse, brown sunglasses, and black clunky boots, which was one of my favorites this year.
Paris Hilton
Paris Hilton, as always, looks stunning in a white flowing dress teamed with brown boots, statement sunglasses, and a natural hairstyle.
Megan Thee Stallion
When she isn’t on stage, Megan was strutting through Coachella in her cartoon-styled dress. She’s bold, colorful, and not afraid to make fun with her clothing.
Hailey Bieber
She’s as gorgeous as always. But her casual Y2K style, with glossy makeup made her stand out in an underrated way. Without trying too hard, eyes were always on her.
Coachella fashion has evolved over the years, especially this year. Lots of celebrities decided to dress down, and keep things casual. I’m excited to see what next years trends are going to look like.
